Rockport, Massachusetts, located on the tip of Cape Ann, is known as a haven for visual artists, writers, and a destination for tourists. However, this site was not designed to lure Rockport visitors, it was designed as a public resource for residents. Rockport administrators and committee chairs were given full access to their sections of the site, so that elected officials, the various departments and sanctioned organizations in Rockport could provide updates. The updates were easily posted on the home page and automatically listed in the calendar. In addition, we set up a gallery for local artists. The site featured the “Yale interface,” two-columns of quick access to 96 different pages within the site.
