Intermountain Therapy Animals
Therapy animals, mostly dogs, are a special sort, unusually empathetic and attentive to humans, especially hospital patients. These dogs provide comfort and healing to the bedridden and other patients who are in need of some simple and unadorned TLC. They are also highly trained, much like Assistant Dogs, many of them are able to perform dozens of skills. Intermountain Therapy Animals (ITA), of Salt Lake City, is one of the Nation’s premier therapy animals organizations. I got a special assignment to photograph several of their dogs, and as expected, they were extremely good models!
This is Diva. She is a wonderful therapy dog, but also a movie actress. She’s had parts in a Disney movie, a Katherine Heigl movie, and another in production.
